- On 2 June 2026, the International Mathematical Union (IMU) endorsed the Leiden Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics. For more information, see the editorial by the IMU Secretary General, Christoph Sorger, in IMU News 137.
- On 18 June 2026, Nature published an editorial about the Leiden Declaration. It states that ‘Nature wholeheartedly endorses both the declaration process and its conclusions’. See Mathematicians are developing rules for AI use — other fields should follow, Nature 654, 571 (2026).
